Known Problems/Bugs/Notes/History:
- corrected problems with program-name-detection in argv[0].

- "bad escape" warnings. try to use ansi.sys as your TERM.
- must have a correct C:\etc\passwd with uid=500
- X11 forwarding works.
- -f option doesnt work.
- must have a /bin/sh.
Notice: there is no support for this port, and i think i wont make further
changes in the source..i dont think its worth the effort it takes to make a
"clean" port..
if you need more working features, do it yourself - here is the
source and here the
gnu-win32 toolkit
if you need support for a windows-based Secure Shell Client, contact

Q&A:
- Q: Why is there this annoying message "this is a modified version" when
i start ssh.exe ?
- A: because I, as the distributor of a modified version of SSH.EXE, am
forced to place this message at the program start.
- Q: my X connections are not refreshing ? why ?!
- A: win95 doesnt give a dos program enough CPU time and stops it after a
while of inactivity, imho (im not a win95 coder). just click on the dos
window and hit some keys, then the X should refresh.
